A Discourse on Students and Skills of Tomorrow.

Prof. Nabil El Kadhi participated in “Imagine Opportunity Youth” webinar, organized by Identity Branding Forum, where he reflected on how higher education institutions should be cultivating students that are fit for the jobs of tomorrow.

The discussion was framed by the dynamics of the future job markets, technology, and AI. Prof. El Kadhi highlighted that the students of tomorrow should be looking to develop soft skills instead of being obsessed only with hard skills, with the latter being prone to be replaced by advances in technology and automation. Being creative and having the mindset to push the boundaries is key. He proposed the IDEA framework stressing that the future is for students who are able to innovate, disrupt, enable, and adapt in an increasingly volatile environment.
