On January 13, 2020 KIC graduated the first batch of people of determination to hold Bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology.
Following the national anthem and Quran recitation, the graduates were honored with a video that depicted their journey at Khawarizmi International College. KIC strategic partners represented by Rashid Mubarak al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General for Local Affairs at the Emirates Red Crescent, and Abdullah Ismail Kamali, Head of Special Needs Sector, also honored the graduates. The celebration was wrapped up with distribution of trophies, certificates, and reception.
During the course of their education, they were the ones to achieve and inspire. Students then, and now work-ready professionals, came up with an app that is specifically designed for deaf audience. Their efforts were duly recognized by HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In his speech, Dr. Assem Al Hajj, KIC president, highlighted that “Khawarizmi International College continuously proves itself to be an ally, partner, and supporter of the UAE’s wise policies and guidance in the field of education. Graduating people of determination is a proof of KIC’s contribution to the prosperity of the education sector. KIC will remain a reliable partner in integrating people of determination academically and socially, to open new horizons for them and for the society.”
Beyond their success in the academic field, they also were the ones to inspire. They inspired others to pursue their dreams, regardless of limitations, as they inspired KIC Mass Communication students to execute their own graduation project titled “Yaday Tatahaddath” (My Hands Talk).
