Dr. Manjush Karthika, Health and Sciences dept, presented a CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) workshop to KIC faculty and staff.
After explaining heart anatomy, differences between Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest, Dr. Manjush delved into the practical side of the CPR. The attendees became familiar with first aid procedures when dealing with unresponsive cases. The workshop also covered tools that are commonly used in CPR such as the AED (defibrillator), a tool that sends shocks to the heart in an effort to re-ignite it once again.
The training session was wrapped up with hands-on training on the specially designed mannequin.
