Throughout the month of March 2021, detailed online training sessions on Effective Use of Learning Resource Center (LRC) Systems and Database were conducted for all KIC instructors.
The training sessions were facilitated by the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in coordination with the current LRC systems and databases, ProQuest Central, E-Book Central, Emerald Insight, E-Marfa, Tech-knowledge, and CTS. The training program focused on improving the related skills and information literacy of all KIC instructors. It also enabled the instructors to pass on the acquired skills to the students, and ensure the effective usage of the LRC resources for learning and research.
Five one-hour sessions were conducted weekly, from March 04 till April 04. An average of 35 faculty members attended the training sessions throughout the training program. The training program covered areas such as an efficient way of searching and retrieving resources to support learning and researches and personalized research account management. Sessions were interactive and both the instructors and the trainer could successfully share knowledge to strategize effective use of systems and databases.
