On the 29th of September 2020, at 03:30 pm, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Information System went live at Khawarizmi International College.
Dr Assem Al-Hajj, KIC President, stated that such a system marks a move into a new era, being a part of a bigger plan and much grander vision of KIC digitization. Implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (SIS), as Dr Al-Hajj noted, is a move that will take KIC operations to the next level.
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (SIS) System is an international higher education system, which brings in a defined structure, standard processes, and controls to serve KIC more efficiently. The system serves various KIC stakeholders, including students. It can be accessed from any part of the world and via any device, through the internet.
Dr Nabil El Kadhi, KIC VP for Academic Affairs, pointed out the convenience of the system and its positive impact on a better internal governance and management.
The demonstration, which was carried out during the launching event, highlighted several benefits to its users. Students, for example, can track their academic progress and academic records, manage financials, access student center, manage classes, check incoming tasks, academic calendar, examination schedule, and customize their own profile. KIC personnel, on the other hand, will now enjoy smoother and faster operations, with reports taking as much as few clicks.
Prior to the launch of the system, training was conducted, and recorded video training material was made available for users’ review. Consultants were also assigned to ensure that the adoption of the new systems will be carried out as per the set agenda.
