In coordination with Khawarizmi International College Student Affairs department, Identity branding Forum organized a webinar where students learned how to stand out in the job market.
‘There will be lots of new jobs, but lots of current jobs will disappear’ noted Dr. Assem Al-Hajj, KIC President and a Panel Speaker, setting a tone for the webinar, where the panel advised students on how to stay step ahead in the race for the future of work and start-ups.
As Higher Education opens doors to opportunities, allowing students to fulfill their dreams, students should realize that success stems from entrepreneurship.
Thinking about a career should be done from the perspective of an opportunity rather than security. To adopt the opportunistic approach, the future of the career should be based on a mix of passion, purpose, opportunities, and achievements. It is the matter of being a game-changer, and seek a future built on values.
Standing out from the crowd is becoming increasingly important, and it will be key to succeeding in the job market of tomorrow. To think and act globally students should possess five essential skills:
- Self Awareness
- Practical Skill
- Creativity
- Critical Thinking
- Positive Coordination
