KIC IT department conducted a workshop that introduced the students to Cyber Security.
The workshop was led by Mr. Adil Khan, KIC Lab Assistant, IT Department. Students learned Cyber Security concepts, terminologies, and the latest World’s Biggest Data breaches & hacks.
Throughout the workshop, they also learned important concepts such as ethical hacking, Google Dorking, cryptography, steganography, computer networks and security, vulnerability assessment, malware threats, sniffing, and various security practices along with hands-on penetration testing using Kali-Linux operating system and some other online tools. The students were also introduced to different certifications to become cybersecurity engineers.
Fifteen students attended the workshop and reported high levels of satisfaction in terms of learned concepts, workshop structure, and in-class engagement.
