What are you most curious about in life?
I am always curious about new developments in technology irrespective of how impactful they may be. It could be a newly introduced browser named sidekick for increasing productivity or it could be intention-based networking by Cisco to improve the administration of networks. I prefer to be amongst the first few to experiment with the new technological developments.
What are the failures that you most cherish?
You always pass failure on your way to success – Mickey Roony
There are many small failures and successes in my life. The most recent, which I cherish, is one in when I was confident that I had completed 70% of the project assigned to me. But I was shocked when the reviewer explained to me with valid arguments that the actual progress is hardly 10%.
After this experience, I started to think from a completely different perspective.
If you could go back five years, what advice would you give your younger self?
I am aware that commitment, adaptability, and patience are key to success, but I would have advised my younger self that a bit of fun and adventure will make life more meaningful.
What do you do outside of the work environment?
I spend time with family and friends, catch up with relatives and old friends over the phone.
What is the most courageous thing you have done in your life?
I quit one of the most supposedly stable and safe jobs at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra to explore the not-so-familiar academic world of the UAE. I had never visited UAE before joining KIC except for a 1-day visit for an interview. I decided to shift to the UAE with all of my family members from day one despite being advised by many to no do so.
What is your favourite film/series and why?
I seldomly sit to watch a movie or a series. However, I accompany family members to the theater for whatever movie they plan to watch.
