n this Anniversary Edition, we are skipping our traditional Tête-à-Tête section to recap the first year of KICconnect. To highlight, this year had its fair share of achievements, and challenges.
Khawarizmi International College is a place that hosts one of the most vibrant communities I have ever met. With that said, it was imperative to capture all of these events and happenings to create a repository of valuable memories that lay foundations for the future of the college and its stakeholders. One year later, we have achieved this goal by organizing a content resource that you can refer to by accessing KIC website.
Looking back at the first issue and comparing it to the most recent one, it is safe to say that our fortnightly newsletter has covered many leagues. Beyond capturing events at KIC, we got closer to the community and KIC culture. We got to learn the industry’s trends and news. Most importantly, KICconnect promoted, and still does, organizational transparency.
We got to know closer 16 of KIC Faculty and Administrative members, from both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses, and learn more about their achievements with the Tête-à-Tête section.
KICconnect is a manifestation of a mutual effort that is based on inputs from different departments. Special thanks go to Dr. Assem Al-Hajj, KIC President, for providing inspiration, support, and direction for the series, and Mrs. Carol Barron, Executive Advisor to the President, for invaluable guidance in developing the newsletter. In tight collaboration with the President’s Office, the Marketing department ensures that KICconnect issues are published each Monday, no matter the circumstances. I would refer here to a Latin principle ‘dura lex sed lex’.
For the upcoming period, KICconnect will aim to become more encompassing and more interactive. Unlike the traditional newsletter format, we want to hear back from you and build a conversation. After all, we are a vibrant community.
