KIC Smart Platform

Welcome to KIC Smart Platform! At its core, the platform aims to keep KIC students on their academic track while staying safely at home. But that’s not all.

The Smart Platform allows KIC students to experience the regular campus life and not just attend their regular lectures.  Essentially, whole KIC experience becomes available via digital tools.

Staying Home. Staying Safe. Staying Educated.

Distance learning is the core element of KIC Smart Platform as the aim is to keep KIC students on their academic track and avoid or mitigate any related setbacks.  Our team did an internal survey so here are the numbers:

Distance Examination – Safe & Secure

KIC students undertake their examination in a safe, secure, and convenient environment, using different OS and devices, coupled with Respondus Lock-down Browser that’s integrated with KIC Blackboard Open LMS, which does not allow to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications.

eOpen Day – Convenient and Immersive.

KIC Smart Platform also engages potential students via eOpen Days. Taking into consideration the paramount importance of social distancing and safety, the adapted format of the regular Open Days was digitized. The move proved to be convenient for future students, their parents, KIC faculty, KIC staff, and KIC students.

As during the traditional Open Day, future students got to learn about all aspects of KIC. The all-encompassing digital experience enabled the students to ask about programs, student life, and learn more about the academic and the non-academic sides of KIC. College’s faculty, staff, and students were available to resolve any related question.

If you have missed this pioneering event, here is what has happened and what you should expect from the upcoming eOpen Days:

  • As during the regular Open Day, first you would visit our eLobby where you get further info about KIC and directions towards your ultimate destination. The experience is complemented with The Guest Room. This is where you could just socialize and meet other KIC representatives and fellow students.
  • You would have access to live academic consultation. Business Administration, Mass Communication, Health and Medical Sciences, and Computer Graphics and Animation departments, were available to guide you through decision making process.
  • Attending these live sessions gives a full-fledged understanding of a given program from two major perspectives. In addition to the academic perspective outlined by the faculty, KIC students provided their own views and advices. Furthermore, admissions officers were always available to provide support when it came to admissions procedures.

Borrowing Policy

LRC designed the borrowing policy to maximize access to the collection by motivating the users to return material on time so that they are available for other users. Students should show their college ID to borrow books from the library. Loan period and number of books for the staff and students are different like:

  • Students can borrow up to 5 books for 10 days.
  • Staff can borrow 10 books up to 30 days.
  • It can be renewed for the next 10 days if no other request or reservation.
  • The Director of the library has the authority to recall a borrowed book at any time.
