In order to empower individuals to help themselves to get to grips with their own heart health, we organized a healthy heart talk on the occasion of World Heart Day.
The talk was organized in collaboration with Burjeel Medical Center. Dr. Mohamed Radwan Mohamed gave an insight on the ongoing threat of cardiovascular diseases for individuals, communities and countries and the measures required to having a healthy heart.
Burjeel Medical Center then followed with a friendly health check-up out on the visitors to raise awareness about diabetes and hypertension which are some of the most worrisome health issue prevalent in this region.
“Cardiovascular disease is preventable in so many cases and that’s why we’re encouraging people to take action and learn more about their heart health this World Heart Day. It’s easy for all of us to be a bit complacent as we can’t see our hearts, but small everyday steps like eating more healthily, stopping smoking and daily workout can really improve your heart health and your overall well-being.”
